Leslie Short, known for her devotion to her clients and perfection on everything she lends her name to, has been dedicated to developing and implementing effective public relations plans, event design and marketing that achieve results for over 15 years. She has helped with International product launches and transformed and developed images of many others.
Presently, Leslie is the CEO and President of K.I.M. Media LLC®, a multi-media agency founded in 2000 that focuses on Marketing, Branding, and Events for individuals,non-profit and corporations. Design by K.I.M. is focused on enhancing your environmental living space, as well as bringing new breath into your events through unique floral arrangements and décor. Recently Leslie has launched K.I.M Weddings focusing on Branding a couples wedding through design and their personalities. Not a wedding planner but wedding producers and designers. Each bride has a dedicated team working just for her!

Leslie is also head trainer at Event Management USA – teaching students the world of events and PR. from presentation to execution. Her eclectic career began over 20 years ago, when the trained alumnus of the Joffrey Ballet School, began performing for national and international audiences. She lived in Europe for over 10 years and Asia for 2 1/2 years utilizing both her creative and business mind. In 1994, her company, J. Men’s Tokyo, was named the 4th best business venture in Japan, where she produced, directed and choreographed (the 1st Male revue show in Japan) and also handled day-to-day business decisions and international press.
She then successfully changed her career in 1996, when she returned to the States. Leslie began a career in television, working as an Associate Producer for the Montel Williams Show and was the Music Coordinator for Thirteen/WNET in New York City. Her next move was with Macy’s Department Store (Federated) as the Special Event Manager, where she conceptually designed and executed dynamic events.
For 10 years she served as President of Marketing, Advertising & PR for FUBU The Collection and FB Entertainment. In this expansive role, Ms. Short developed marketing and advertising plans, coordinated all public relations initiatives, executed promotional events, and oversaw the development of corporate as well as international licensees. In addition to managing all of the above responsibilities, Leslie handled the imaging and public relations for the FUBU owners.
Leslie has been recognized of her achievements by various organizations. In 2003, she was honored by Ebony as the Outstanding Woman in Marketing & Communications, and by Today’s Black Woman Magazine with the Today’s Black Woman & New Day Associates Award. Ms. Short is a member of the North America Advisory board for the CMO (Chief Marketing Officer) Council, Global Advisory Board I-meet and Brides Choice Awards 2012-13, Best of Brooklyn Wedding Planner 2012-13.
Leslie also authored a chapter of Inside the Minds: Marketing Benchmarks for Success, with Aspatore Books, and contributed her insights to the college text book, Marketing, 9th Edition and Marketing: The Core 3rd Edition. Ms. Short is also a sought after speaker and guest teacher for various corporations and colleges. Present client roster spans the world of sports, entertainment, and luxury – lifestyle brands.
