Check out these important tips from Casey Wohl, also known as The Getaway Girl® before planning your bridal getaway…
Get Bride Input – Ask the bride what she wants (or doesn’t want) in terms of a getaway. Some want X-rated dancers while other prefer a quiet weekend with the girls. Establish her comfort levels, because this is, after all, in her honor. Also, be sure to get an invite list from her complete with contact information.
Setting the Date – Try not to have the getaway too close to the date of the wedding. The closer the wedding date gets, the busier everyone gets, especially the bride. At least a month in advance is a good idea. Friday & Saturday nights are best. Set a date far in advance so everyone has adequate time to plan. As soon as you have a date, send out a Save the Date for everyone on your invite list.
Budgeting – Get an idea of how much everyone wants to spend. People have different budgets; however, if you discuss finances prior to planning, it will help target appropriate venues and activities.
About Casey Whol:
Casey Wohl, also known as The Getaway Girl®, is passionate about two things: her girlfriends and traveling the world. By combining these two loves, Wohl created and launched a unique and helpful city-specific travel guide series for women worldwide. After a devastating divorce and getting fired from her job, Wohl found solace in traveling with her girlfriends and realized an unfilled niche in the travel industry as no one was writing city-specific travel guides for women. Many travel experts talk about how, when and where to travel. Because travel changed her life, Wohl has the unique capability of also talking about the “why” of travel, which makes her travel correspondence so relevant.
