As you select your centerpieces for your wedding or event keep in mind how much space they will utilize on the table also consider the additional items that need to be placed onto the table. Chargers, bread plate, water glass, white wine, red wine and champagne glasses plus utensils. Keep in mind all these glasses are different sizes and will need room.
Water: full body glass with short stem. (All venues do not use water glasses with steams)
White Wine: slightly smaller glass with wider bowl to capture the bouquet.
Burgundy Reds and Pinot Noirs: a wide bowl to bring out their complexity. The glass is slightly taller than the white wine glass.
Champagne: a narrow fluted glass, which reduces the wine’s surface area and keep the bubbles from dissipating.
Red wine: the bigger of the wine glasses. Hold the glass at the bottom of the bowl where it meets the stem.
Brandy: Brandy Snifter. Normally not placed on the table at the beginning of dinner but can be at the bar for after dinner drink or passed on a tray by waiters after dinner.
