Your guest will love you for thinking about them in the summer heat.
These are perfect for outside weddings as a passed treat after dinner and before the cutting of the cake. The one and only palate cleanser.
Sorbet cups can be made with or without alcohol.

This cake said it all about this couple. Fun, Smart, Unique and one of kind gems that found each other. They even added the post it notes how they proposed over Skpe.

How much does the couple have to love scrabble, to share it with their guest as their wedding cake?! I love that they let their personality shine through their cake.
What do you and your mate have in common that you would share as your wedding cake design?

I love the idea of adding your bridal party along for the wedding cake especially if the party have know each other for years. It’s a nice touch to show appreciation to your friends and family; that the journey has just begun and your friends and family will not be left behind.

Toppers date back to the 1890s. According to the article, “Bride and Groom Wedding Cake Toppers,” the first toppers were made from gum paste and plaster. By the 1920s, they were a hit with high society. The first commercially manufactured toppers were made from glass, paper and wood. In 1924, a U.S. wholesale catalog sold wax toppers, and by 1927, the Sears Roebuck catalog was devoting an entire page to wedding toppers. Slack Manufacturing began selling celluloid toppers in 1928. By the ’50s, toppers were a must-have item for bridal couples.
Today, couples can choose from a wide variety of toppers. Topper choices are limited only by the imagination. They come in cellophane, paper, paper mache and wax, among other materials. The emphasis is on custom-made and personalized toppers that reflect the couple’s tastes and interests. Couples can choose personalized colors, designs, materials, sizes, styles and themes. The idea is to choose a topper that reflects the couple’s love and life for each other.

The modern cake-cutting ceremony holds many meanings dating back to Medieval times. The bride and groom begin the ceremony by cutting the cake together. This represents the couple’s first joint act as husband and wife. The couple’s action of feeding each other the first piece represents their desire to care for one another. The act of serving the guests each a piece of the cake goes back to the belief that eating some of the cake would bring good luck.

You don’t need to be married on St. Patrick’s Day or be Irish to use the color Emerald as an accent color on your wedding cake. Having your baker use ribbon or colored fondant styled like ribbon is a great way to assure your cake is highlighted as part of your décor and styling theme.
The traditional day for weddings in Iceland is Friday. In pagan times, this day was considered sacred to Frigga – the goddess of marriage. The Kransakaka is the traditional Icelandic wedding cake, it’s a pyramid-shaped cake made of almond pastry ‘wedding rings’, each filled with chocolate or sweets.
